Ralph VEECOCK Obituary

VEECOCK, Ralph Percival - 1923 - 2012 Passed away in Sunnybrook Hospital on Monday, December 17th in his 90th year. Ralph Veecock, formerly of Georgetown, Guyana. Educated at Queen's College, Georgetown. An avid swimmer who loved movies. Ralph volunteered for the Royal Navy in WWII. He worked as a radar operator assigned to the protection of merchant marine convoys around the world. He eventually settled in Toronto in the 1950s. For over 30 years, he enjoyed his career working in the administration of the Municipality of Toronto. Beloved son of the late Percival and Alexandrina (nee Constan) Veecock. Survived by his brother of David (Inge) of England, sister Marguerite of Toronto and sister-in-law Marilyn (nee MCLean) of Peterborough, ON. Predeceased by brothers John and Michael. Dear uncle of Keith (Anne) and Elizabeth (Sinead) of England and Sean (Kim) of Peterborough, ON. Great- uncle of Laura, Sarah, James and Tadhg of England and Van of Peterborough, ON. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W. (2 stoplights west of Yonge St.) on Saturday, December 22nd at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Memorial donations made to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by his family.
