I was reminded that this lovely guest book of condolences but most importantly deep felt remembrances will go off line soon. I so enjoyed reading all of the entries. Thank you. Silvia was a friend and fellow volleyball player of my sister Sandra, at Vic Park SS, who also passed away just a year before Silvia. Thoughts of them both are with me daily. Two courageous women who lived lives full of respect, thoughtfulness, empathy and laughter.

Grieve not, nor speak of me
with tears, but laugh and talk
of me as if I were beside you.
I loved you so....?
‘Twas heaven here with you.

Sylvia was one strong LADY! She was always one to support others and share time together off the courts. Her smile would light up the room. Her strength, courage and sincere honesty are the things I will remember forever. Keep smiling.

Maria and Eddie; what a gap has been ripped in your hearts with the loss of your daughter and sister. But you will heal as all the rest of us will too because as Sylvia would say, "It is what it is. Now go get on with it." How much we will miss you Sylvia but oh how much wisdom you left us with. Your guidance and example will help so many of us when we find ourselves looking for an answer. Going forward now when we face a challenging situation or circumstance we can ask ourselves, "What would Sylvia have done?" and we will find the answer. During social times the next generation of Volleyball Officials will hear about what a great friend we all had in Sylvia. Each of us will have our own special 'Sylvia Story' that we will share with each other and with those who were not as fortunate as us to have known her and called her our friend. And that is how your legacy will live on and on. Your room has been prepared by Him and he has called you to it far too soon for our liking. Good-bye Sylvia until we see each other again on the other side. I am a better person because you generously shared some of your life with me and for that I will always be grateful.

Sylvia, I am saddened to learn of your passing. I fondly remember all the wonderful times we had in elementary and high school. You were an excellent athlete then and I am so impressed with all of your contributions to the volleyball community. I am sorry we had lost touch over the years. God bless you

Sylvia, I have so many warm and happy memories of growing up with you on Alrita Cres. I'll always remember your sharp mind, your laugh, your beautiful smile, and how protective you were of your brother. Mary, Ed and Donna and family--please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
