Louise
My condolences to you. You had an amazing mother. May your memories comfort you in this time of loss.

Dear Louise.

My wife Linda joins me in offering our deepest sympathy to you and your family on the recent death of your mother - a true Saskatchewan pioneer teacher.

Thank you for sharing so much of her life with me during our recent discussions. Mme Simard will have left you and your family with many memories as well as leaving a fine legacy!

My condolences to the Simard family. "Miss Poitras" was the teacher when both of my parents attended Pearl School. Throughout the years, as I grew up in the Junor District, my parents told stories of their school days. They always spoke of Miss Poitras with kindness, respect and admiration for a remarkable teacher.

She sounds like an amazing woman. A long life well lived. Our sympathies to Louise and all her family, from Alison Hayford and Paul Gingrich.

It is with great sadness to learn of Mrs Simard's passing. She was my favourite elementary school teacher in Meadow Lake. I thought she was such a classy lady. It was a pleasure to see and visit with Mrs Simard again at my Grade 12 class's 1996 reunion. With much sympathy and caring thoughts to her family.
