My sincere sympathy to all the Petty family. Even though it has been years since your time in Wadena, I remember the times we spent at the skating rink and lunches after practice like it was yesterday.

As a young family living in Wadena it was a true pleasure to have the Petty's move in a couple of doors down the street. Arnold and I had a lot in common, we both were employed by a Crown Corporation. He with SaskEnergy, me with SaskTel. Life was good, both raising a young family, playing tag football, curling together, participating in Halloween masquerades as ballerinas and babies in rompers.
Arnold and Lil moved away but their friendship never waned and there marriage stayed intact till the very end.
May you rest in piece Arnold.
An old time friend - Barry Whitta

"Mr. and Mrs. Petty" were like 2nd parents to us when we were little kids living in Wadena. That bond never seemed to change, even with time. Our hearts are with Mrs. Petty, Kim, and Mark. "Mr. Petty" was such a genuinely kind, loving, and generous person... he will always have a special page in our "happy memories" book. Love, Laurie & Kent (Whitta)

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Arnold. I enjoyed him as my hockey coach and neighbor. Quick hellos usually turned into 45 minute conversations on the street. He always made me smile and laugh. Our prayers for him and the family. I will miss him. Bill Webster jr. and family
