We are so sorry to hear about Mrs. Bailey's passing. She taught all 3 of our children Kindergarten at John Lake, and remains their all time favourite teacher. I enjoyed volunteering in the Kindergarten class and felt privileged to know your mom.

I came across a painting in a wood frame. I was about to reuse it when i seen the name on the back. Barbara D Bailey November 1969.
I am now wondering if this painting was done by this Barbara.
Sorry to hear of the passing of a loved one. Just hoping to maybe bring this painting back home. . .

To Barbs family,
We have been thinking of what to say these past weeks in memory of such a wonderful, kind person as her. For starters, everyone noticed, with envy, her beautiful, well planned and weedless flower beds as they walked by every summer. It was fun to watch her enthusiasm and dressed in green when cheering on all the Sask Roughrider games televised. She was also a fan of those Hawaiian winter getaways with Michael. Barb was a gourmet chef and hostess at cooking up a tasty meal for friends and family anytime at the lake...in fact, her baking recipes should be published. (glad we have some to remember her by). It was obvious she adored her granddaughters and looked forward to their regular FaceTimes together. Our prayers for healing are wished for her loved ones. And no one can forget Barbs faithful, energetic walks around McPhail Cove, sometimes twice a day...snow, rain or shine and usually ahead of her husband! Above all else, Barb cared more of others than herself. Happy Hour just won't be the same without Barb Bailey. Rest In Peace our dear friend.
We care, Martha, Tom Laxdal & family

Dear Mike and family,
I had the pleasure of knowing Bab as a parent, colleague and finally as a member of Eastern Star. Both my children enjoyed Mrs. Bailey as a Kindergarten teacher as she was one of the best. As a colleague I learned how professional she was. As a member of Star I learned what a great friend she was. She will be missed by us all. May time help make your memories of her even more golden.

So sorry to read of Barb's passing. She was the best teacher, colleague and friend that anyone could ever have. She was loved by her students and all who had the privilege to know her.
Barb and I were colleagues at John Lake. We became friends and enjoyed working together with our students; even sharing a room for a short while during building renovations. We kept in touch after retirement. After a decade of happy news of travel and grandchildren, it was a shock to hear that Barb was seriously ill. She lived a healthy lifestyle in every way and should have had many happy years ahead. I am so glad to have had the chance to talk with her his last year. Despite her worries and difficult treatments, she was the same Barb.
Heartfelt condolences to Mike and all her family. You will miss her so much but no doubt have many wonderful memories to draw upon in the days ahead.
Sadly, Carole Toy, Parksville, BC
