It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we say "good-bye" to Butch (Bob) Leschyshyn of Wilkie SK who passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the age of 62. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who has fought a long, hard and courageous battle with Cancer for many years. Butch leaves to celebrate his life, wife and best friend Virginia (Delainey); daughter Shasta Michalkow (Chad) and their children Damion, Makayla, and Colby; sons Bryce, Corey and Kristopher Leschyshyn; mother Olga Leschyshyn; siblings Mary Malyk, Dennis Leschyshyn (Lorie) and their children Leah, Jesse, and Jordan; as well as Virginia's side of the family, his faithful dog Jazzie and the many friends he has made over the years. Butch was predeceased by his father Steve Leschyshyn; Sister Irene Lasiuk. He was a man not afraid to tackle anything in life. He was well known for his many skills, no job was ever too big or too small for him. Always willing to lend a hand, his knowledge of construction was a valuable asset to his family and friends. He loved the outdoors and had a passion for fishing and looked forward to trying to catch the "big one" whether it was summer or winter every chance he got. He also loved to camp, hunt, and work out in the yard. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing hockey. He excelled at hockey at an early age. He played with the Unity Canucks, eventually with the Saskatoon Blades. After playing with the Blades he played hockey with the Saskatoon Saints. He was also known to have coached hockey in the past, loving every moment of it. Butch was a fun loving and a whole individual who will be sorely missed. So long "Butch". You will remain forever in our hearts and thoughts for years to come. You will never be forgotten. The Celebration of Butch's Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (East on 8th St., first right past Briargate Rd.) That's a shame to see Butch pass. He was such a nice man - always so friendly, kind and generous. He will be missed for sure. Rest in peace Butch.

I first met Butch when I was six years old, when he worked for my Dad, later as a teenager I worked for Butch on different job sites. I will never forget some of the lessons, and hard work he taught me.I am sorry to hear of his passing, always respected, and thought of him as one of my hero's. He will missed.
