Although our extended family was disconnected for so many years, I was saddened by this news. Dan's dad, Daniel, and my Dad Sid were especially favourite brothers. Sincerest condolences to all who knew him. - Kathleen Gillis, cousin.

There are no words I can use that can describe how I feel about your passing. I can share that I do hope that where ever you are you are no longer suffering and have found some wonderful peace. Until we meet again, your oldest daughter, Carla

It's too late to be in touch again as we planned on doing. We're both sorry we missed out on your great company, would have been fun to swap tales on what's happened over the last (how many) years! To your family, some of whom we know, and friends, we knew you were a great guy and we wish them peace at this time. Charlene & Paul McCurdy

Dear Coreen and Family. Betty and I are so sad to hear of Dans passing. We met Dan Jan 2008 and got to know him well until April 2013 when he then moved from our house on 5th Street. Dan was a gentle, kind man, always very positive. Betty and I always looked forward to a visit, and always left looking forward to our next visit. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Alex and Betty Beaton

I will be raising a glass of Scotch to Dan while remembering the times spent playing soccer with him and socializing afterward.

Dear Corrine. I would like to express my sincere condolences for the passing of Dan. He was a very nice guy and a pleasure to play soccer with or against him. I am sure that lots of the soccer guys will miss his presence on the field. I hope that you can take consolation on the fact that Dan lived his life to its fullest.
A big hug

Jose
