Aside from a few visits when I was a kid, I really only know Howie from stories my aunt Lillian ( Stensrud) and Mom Mable ( ne Stensrud ) as we all live in Ontario. I was always very impressed with his contributions to his community and family and found him to be a real inspiration for the contributions I have managed to make throughout my life. Though I barely knew him, I knew him by his deeds.
Condolences to all of Howie's family.

This man is such a remarkable man, and his vision for making things right was there long before Mike Holmes was born. There has been such a beautiful history that can be attributed to his vision. In a very Remarkable
and quiet way, he has changed so many lives through his crafting of a new and common sense ideas for persons with disabilities. This vision and fruition of has meant so much to so many more than we will ever know, my own experience has made me a more compassionate and patient leader.
Miners construction also personifies his respect for everyone. During the construction of St. Peters rents, the workers were polite, kind and very helpful, with the workplace always safe and organized. He must have been so proud of his employees! And the respect they showed for their employer was evident throu their work. Bless this wonderful man and may we all strive to mirror his leadership. Amen.

I am so sad to learn that a great man, a true inspiration to many has passed. I lived next door with my family on Haultain ave. I became fast friends with Cathy at that time, and remember when Joanne was born. Mr.Stensrud was motivational and a doer. What we lacked in services for the disabled in Saskatoon, he inspired and developed much needed facilities and services. Howard most definitely left an amazing legacy. My prayers go to the family. He was an amazing man, and will never be forgotten.

Although I only met Howard a few times, it seemed impossible not to be impressed. He was well respected in the construction industry.

I just found out about Howard's passing today. He was a wonderful man and God will surely look after him.
