Sorry to hear about Mike's passing. He was the face of Bedford Road football in the 1960's. His passion for the game, preparation and devotion was unmatched. Pride in performance, attention to detail and striving for success are lifelong lessons that all of his players benefited by. All of the boys were lucky to have him on our side, cheering, explaining and planning. Thanks for the memories. Henry Strelioff

Mr Marushak...you were one of a kind! So many people were touched by you either as a teacher at BRCI which is how I knew you or in other aspects of your life. May the memories comfort your family and friends. My prayers for strength and comfort in this time.

I also had Mr. Marushak as my chemistry teacher. I was a little worried about asking him for help one time but found he was more than happy to help.He was somebody who every body respected. He was a big part of BRCI. Rest in peace.

Please accept my condolences. My first memories of Michael was when he played football at U of S.Little did I know that one day not only would be my football coach at S.T.C.I.but also my mentor. Coaching football then hockey In the U.S., I tried to carry on his philosophy of coaching young athletes but stress the importance giving back what other coaches gave to you. Never will he be forgotten.

Mr. Marushak was and is truly 'a Legend'. Yes, he was tough (on the exterior) and set high expectations, but he was also most respected and loved by his students at BRCI. Our sincere condolences. Murray and Doreen(Reimer)Fairweather

I just want to echo the sentiments from my brother Russ about Mr. Marushak. He was certainly a disciplinarian at Bedford Road but we all respected him for it. This carried onto the football field and produced a lot of great players and graduates who were well prepared for life's challenges. Thank you Mr. Marushak, you will always be fondly remembered. Mr. Marushak was my chemistry teacher at Bedford Road in 1970. He was so professional, understanding and committed to his students. I could never figure out how he kept his lab coat so crisp and clean! He was one of the many teachers at Bedford who inspired me to become a teacher. Thank you for the memories Mr. M. God Speed
