Condolences from the Aloysius Miiller family. I was in Humboldt for a funeral on Thursday & learned of Pat's passing. He was well respected by former patients.

Jan,
Nancy and I send our condolences to you and your family on the loss of your dad, Patrick Miller. From our conversations over the past few years I know that you and he were close. May God bless the family at this time. RIP.

I only met Dr. Miller once. Pat and Mary kindly paid visits to my mother Lois Laycraft who was in declining health at her remote home near Paddockwood,Sask.
Mom had told me that Pat was a very accomplished physician so I was at first a little intimidated in his presence. The conversation was awkward and sparse until I mentioned that I was from Calgary. "You're not a Stampeders fan are you ?", he asked with mock disdain. "I am", I said. The ice was broken ! A lengthy and spirited thrust-and-parry ensued as to the merits and demerits of our respective gridiron sides.
I silently admired the way he had diagnosed my nervousness and given me a pathway to be his equal.
Our sincere condolences go out to Mary and the entire extended family.

I was deeply grieved to hear of Dr. Miller's passing. Dr. Miller was an integral and instrumental part of our family for decades...ever since I was a young boy. In fact, we owe Dr. Miller a great deal of gratitude for saving my Dad's life back when he was diagnosed with cancer in the 1980s. For his efforts and expertise, we had Dad for another 20 years! His compassion and care was boundless. To all the family: Mary, Pat, Kass, Joanne, Karen, and my adopted brother, John, May the Lord strengthen you; may his Spirit be with you; may his Peace ever dwell in you. As the house grows quieter, and the sense of loss deepens, may you find, in the "silence," a new way of "presence." In that silence you can touch infinity, and in the Spirit all are present. Your beloved is now Spirit. Nothing is lost except what touch can feel. He is closer than you feel. Happier than your imagination can grasp. At peace with himself and all things hoping that you too find peace...knowing that all is well.

For myself and my siblings, Dr. Miller was our family doctor. He was also dear to us because Mom and Dad considered Pat and Mary Miller their dearest friends! We will forever remember his wonderful sense of humour, the stories of the fishing trips and the miraculous birth of our own children by his hands. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Mary, and your wonderful family! He was a gift to us all!

We were privileged to not only be able to work with Dr. Miller but to have him as our family Doctor.
We always remember those who touch our lives in a special way.

My condolences to your family. I worked with your dad in Humboldt hospital for 25 years. I have since moved to Australia. He was a good guy, loved his humor! Always there when needed. He will be sadly missed, but know he is in a better place.

My condolences to the family. I worked many years with him. I also shared this on Facebook as many people I know also knew or worked with him and might not be aware otherwise
