I recently read with shock and sorrow of Wayne's passing. My condolences to Viv and family
I have fond memories of a lifelong friendship with Wayne which started when we taught together at Sutherland School. Over the years we shared camping trips to Pike Lake and Kingsmere, weeklong whitewater canoeing on Clearwater River and hunting trips. All these adventures demonstrated what an a caring and resourceful person he was. What a great loss to all who knew him.

Dear Viv & Family,
I recently noticed Wayne's obituary online and want to express my belated condolences. Hopefully, knowing the profound influence Wayne has had on so many lives will be a comfort to you during this difficult time.

People always liked for be within Wayne's presence because of his positive spirit and helping heart. He was a dedicated father, who had such pride in his family. Wayne loved his students and staff, and touched so many as a talented educator. Vivian, Tyson, Desiree, Cody and the entire family, our thoughts are with you.

While searching the internet this evening I read of Wayne's passing. I knew Wayne as a BB player and friend of mine, a very caring person, who was a large help and support when we lost our son while living in Saskatoon, there is so many touching stories I could tell of Waynes kindness and leadership. I am truly touched that you lost your husband and a hugh part of your family. Keep the faith as I will keep Wayne in my prayers. with deepest sympathy.

My boys had the privilege of having Wayne as their principal at Forest Grove School. I never saw him wear a suit at school but then it would interfere with him going out to play with his students at recess. He seemed to know each and every student by name and took interest in all. Jonathan has cerebral palsy but Wayne found innovative ways to include him in activities. We will forever be grateful to him. Our sympathies to his family .(Did he outlive his birthday goat?)

He was a great teacher, friend and father figure to a lot of First Nations across Saskatchewan. A lot of us grew up in broken homes without father figures. And I was truly blessed to have my father for a short time in which I losss to cancer as well. Very sad and long journey for all of us.

Wayne may all your love you had for us is the legacy you gave us will keep on living. take the time every day to take care of yourself Wayne Dyck.

I first saw Wayne playing b'ball for the U of S in my first year of 1970. Needless to say, he was very competitive, determined, and blessed with ample skill. I attended most games and admired his commitment to the program. I completed my B of Ed in 1975 and joined the Public System that fall. Unfortunately, our paths never crossed the same school staff circle over my career. However, when we did see each other over the years, it was always a positive conversation, wave or ? After attending Wayne's ceremony, I left with a feeling that I really missed something by not working alongside him at one of the schools where he was a teacher, vp, or principal. I think it was destiny that he ended up in a career where he could positively affect so many lives. Rest in peace, Wayne. My condolences to Vivia and family.

He was my principal at North Park Elementary over 25 years ago. I've actually thought of him numerous times over the years. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful man who will live in the the minds and hearts of many.

I am so sorry for your loss.... it's hard to imagine this world without Wayne in it. I so valued my time around him over the years. A very kind, compassionate, gentle spirit who always welcomed people and took the time to visit.
