Carlene Huffstetler Obituary

Carlene Shealy Huffstetler LITTLE MOUNTAIN - Carlene Shealy Huffstetler, 82, widow of Bernard L. Huffstetler, died Friday, October 20, 2017 at her residence. Born on March 29, 1935, in Little Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Carl Bowers and Sara Lou Aull Shealy. She was a 1956 graduate of Newberry College and retired as the bookkeeper/secretary from Mid Carolina High School. Mrs. Huffstetler taught piano for many years. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church where she was a former choir director, taught Sunday School for many years and was involved with WELCA. She loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Huffstetler is survived by sons, Tim (Nancy) Huffstetler of Little Mountain and Neal (Amanda) Huffstetler of Pomaria; daughters, Beth (Bubba) Frick and Connie (Ty) Fellers both of Little Mountain; grandchildren, Joe Frick, Aaron Frick, Brandy (Kevin) Kiser, Summer (Allen) Reid, Brittany (Charles Everett) Frick, Jeffrey Fellers, Emma Fellers, Hunter Fellers, Maddie Huffstetler and Karlie Huffstetler and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, October 23, 2017, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by the Rev. John Stoudemayer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 7:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Little Mountain Fire and Rescue, 219 N. Boundary Street, Little Mountain, SC 29075 or the Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church Special Fund, 816 Mt. Tabor Road, Little Mountain, SC 29075. The family would like to thank Dr. Chaudhry Mushtaq and the staff of the S.C.
