Dear Rick, your life was a testament to your love for God and His people. You wanted to share that love until the very end. I remember when you came to Hickory Cove Bible Camp as a camper. Maybe not the strongest, most athletic, but always cheerful and ready to participate in any way possible. And now to have you come to work with us in the ministry of camp, again always cheerful and ready to participate. You have been an encouragement to many and give God the glory as you would do.

To the family we grieve also the loss of a dear friend who touched our lives and encouraged us as well. We are thankful that you sent him to camp and pray with you as you grieve the loss of one you have loved and helped through this challenging life. We pray that the God of all comfort will make His presence known to you. As for Rick, we know that now he is breathing easily and rejoicing in the presence of the Lord he loved and served.
Praying for you as you face the days ahead,
Barb (Martin) Taylhor

Rick, your life was a blessing and testimony to your love for God and His people as well as for those who do not know Him yet. You never gave up, felt sorry yourself or wavered in your commitment to give God all the glory and share His love with those around. I remember when you came to Hickory Cove Bible Camp as a boy, maybe not strong and athletic but cheerful and eager to participate in any way possible. And now, to have had you be a part of that ministry, encouraging others and helping in any way possible was humbling to all of us. Thank you for your faithful service. But we know that you are rejoicing and breathing easy now. For that we rejoice also.

To the family, thank you for sharing Rick with us, for bringing him to camp, and encouraging him in his walk with the Lord. We continue to pray for each of you as you grieve the loss of your dear one. We pray that the God of all comfort will be very present with you in the days ahead.
Sharing in your grief and praying God's rich blessing,
Barb (Martin) Taylor

In our thoughts and prayers

You are in my thoughts and prayers and the family. I know you are up in heaven with no more pain and suffering. I will always remember you as a great person and all the good talks we use to have. I really thought a lot of your family.

An amazing friend that meant so much to so many people. I feel so lucky to have so many memeries we shared together to cherish in my heart. He loved his family so much, what a great support of love he had. I chuckle as I think of my mother greeting him in heaven. The two of them could make your head spin from all the laughter.
Rick, you were my rock, my most honest friend. You never did have a problem being blunt, but that is what I loved about you the most. You loved my faults and cherished my emotions. For you, I will always be thankful for always seeing the best in me. Your strength, integrity, and love has held my heart through the good and bad. I will never forget your words of encouragement through the pressures and stresses of nursing school. Rick, you are so missed, and we will continue to fight for CF in your loving memory. Give mom a hug for me, and ya'll behave up there! Love ya, mean it! Forever----
