I am sitting right now in my office on the corner of Sunset and Vine, and I suddenly knew Mitzi was dead. I don't know why I did, but it was almost as if the air was full of her. There is no light like this one had. Ann, I never knew you, but reading this, I am just so glad she was loved. Thank you for loving her and taking care of her. I wonder if I am whispering into space and no one will hear this. But as I believe that no act of love is ever lost -- nor would any heart like this one -- somewhere a petal falls to the ground and is seen. Beautiful. So beautiful in every way ... Much Love, Valerie Blalock (Morgaan Sinclair), Professor of Mythology, The Los Angeles Film School

I remember Mitzi from when I attended Anderson College in 1986-87. It was her guidance that led me into a journalism career. I will be forever grateful. She was a true inspiration for all who knew her.

I met Mitzi a lot of years ago,and I knew that I was in the presence of someone who enjoyed life, and lived life to the fullest. I am so sorry for your loss and I know she will be missed. I also know how deeply she touched my life. I was glad to have known her, even though her life was way too short. Be in Peace, Mitzi.
Love,

One thing that few people may know is that, in addition to the 3 years we spent as roommates at Columbia College, Mitzi and I actually began life together! Born only 9 days apart, we spent our first few days of life in the same nursery in the same hospital! Save me a place, Roommate! I'll be there one day!!

Ann,

I am so very sorry for your loss! I wish I had met Mitzi. From the obituary, it sounds like she was a wonderful person! Thinking about you with love and sympathy.

Dear Mitzi, I loved your vivacious, kind hearted, and gentle soul since I met you as a child. You were a rock in times of strife and difficulty. You made our family complete with laughter and that "MO" presence. I am in awe of the love that surrounded you during your life and especially after your passing. Many lives were touched by you, including mine. I love you dear one and may you fly with the birds, run with the wolves, and swim with the dolphins in heaven. I love you always.

I met a student from Columbia College the other day and thought of you. May you rest in peace.

I have many fond memories of my years at Columbia College, but none was more influential or life-changing than the 3 years when I was blessed to have Mitzi as my roommate. We occupied the same room on the 1st floor of Epworth all 3 of those crazy years. In my long and eventful life, I have known many wonderful people, but Mitzi has always occupied a very special place in my heart -- and she always will. There never was -- and there never will be -- anyone quite like her. She was larger-than-life. No one will ever take her place, and no one will ever come close to filling the void that she has left. There are not enough words to express my profound grief over her loss or my infinite rejoicing that her suffering is finally over. The lights in Heaven will shine a little brighter now, and there will most definitely be a lot more laughter!! Sail on, Dear Roommate -- and save a place in the corner for me!

I worked with Mitzi at the S.C. Dept. of Corrections in the 1970's and have always cherished my memories of those times. Mitzi was a wonderful, kind, loving, funny, and genuine person who I will never forget. I will especially remember her many stories about her family, who she loved so very much. I send my sincere prayers and condolences to the family. She will forever be missed.
