Well done, good and faithful and outrageously wonderful servant! There are so many wonderful memories of our college years together. When my two sons were small and would complain about sharing space in the back seat of our car, I would always think about the road trip that four of us took in your snazzy - and tiny - T-bird, packed to the rafters with "girl stuff." We laughed so much that weekend that our facial muscles actually hurt for days afterword. You were always a joy and an inspiration to all of us - and to all who knew you. Somehow, I have a feeling that heaven is rocking with joy and laughter right now, and that you'll get your wings in record time. Thank you for all that you were to those blessed to know you, and for the spirit that you will continue to share with us. Peace, Mitzi.

I did not have the privelege of knowing Mitzi. I must have missed knowing a very special person. Ann, I am sorry for your loss, and you and the family are in my prayers.

Mitzi never met a stranger and she was such a source of joy and humor during my Columbia College days.

Ann and family, please know that my prayers are with you during this difficult time. Hers was a life well lived!

I grew up 4 houses down from Mitzi's house, she baby sat me & gave me cow girl coats. I am so sad to hear this news.

Mitzi will be missed immensely by all who knew her. She had the greatest laugh and sense of humor. My prayers are with her family and friends.

I was so blessed to meet Mitzi my freshman year. She helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life and kept me on track to graduate. She has a special part of my heart forever. Keeping her family in my prayers. I miss you and I will never forget you.

What a beautiful tribute to Mitzi, so capturing HER. Sending love to Ann, to Mitzi and Ann's families, and to everyone who will miss Mitzi's physical presence in their lives. I carry her in my heart.

I remember Mitzi fondly from when she would visit my Mother, Jettie Winesett, in Pinnacle, NC. She always brought her zest for living and her love of family and fond memories with her. She will be missed but not forgotten.

Dearest Mentor Mitzi, I miss our lunches, laughs and love. As an educator, I often defer to the "What Would Mitzi Do?" philosophy but I'll always be trying. You were the real thing. I know you're dancing now while we hold on to the joy of our Mitzie memories. See you on the other side "Tootie Wootie."
