Dear Ann and Family,
One of our children, Larry, picked up on Dr. Reed's death and emailed it to me today, April 23. We will always remember our days at Rosewood Baptist with you and your wonderful family. Cal and I pray that our Heavenly Father will comfort each of you as only He can.
As unto the Lord,
Dr. Calvin & Shirley Meyer

So sorry to hear of his passing. He will be missed. I remember my first visit to the obgyn was with him. He told me to just pretend I was at the beach. It helped as a young woman but as I got older I joked with him about that and told him it wasn't a beach trip. He laughed. He always took care if me and I will always remember his kindness and warmth. I will miss you. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

I was sadden to hear of Dr. Reed's passing. He was my OB/GYN for over 14 years or more and he will be truly missed. He had such a wonderful spirit about him that made you feel so comfortable and a Big smile. My prayers are with family and may God continue to comfort you all.

When my husband and I first moved to Columbia 28 years ago, I had the good fortune of becoming a patient of Dr. Reed. A very difficult pregnacy would soon follow, and Dr. Reed made multiple housecalls to our home in Horrell Hill before and after work. We named our son in his honor and will forever hold dear his memory. That son is now a physician, and it is our hope that he will mean as much to others as Dr. Stanmore Reed has meant to us!

May God's grace comfort you during this time of loss. My deepest sympathy.

Dr. Reed was my OB for more than 30 years. He was a wonderful.loving.caring doctor. When you walked into his office and he closed the door to talk with you after your exam it was like you were the only patient he had. When he retired i knew i would miss him very much. Thank goodness his sweet daughter,Julie, was there so that my mom and I could start seeing her and i could keep up with how he and his sweet wife were doing through her. i will truly miss this sweet, loving, humble man. This world has lost a wonderful human being, but heaven has gained an Angel. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his sweet wife and children.

Dr. Reed was the first OB my mother took me to as a teen back in 1979. He will truly be missed. To the family, GOD came back to get his _Angel of Medicine because he needed him to deliver some babies in HEAVEN. So he truly did his job down here on the Earth.

God Bless You All.

We first met Stanley in 1967 when my wife assisted him in setting up his practice in the Rosewood area. We attended church with him at Rosewood Baptist. He became our doctor for the time he remained in private practice. We found Stanley to be a warm, personable, intelligent doctor who cared immensely about his patients. While it has been 44 years since we have seen him, reading of his passing has saddened us. He certainly impacted our lives as a young physician. We want the family to know that we thought of him as a wonderful doctor, friend and human being. Our sympathies are with you.
