Daniel Robert Rippon, 42, of Colliers Wood, United Kingdom, formerly of Mayfield, died Aug. 24 at St. George's Hospital in London, England.
Born in Scranton, son of John W. Rippon Sr., Williamsport, and Helen C. Mushala, Mayfield, he was employed at the Heart Hospital in London as a supply logistics coordinator. He lived in England for nearly nine years. He was a member of the Jermyn Primitive Methodist Church when he lived in Mayfield.
He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He was a loving son and brother who was a great cook, and his friends and his mom will miss his homemade pierogies. He was a loyal friend, especially to Isaac, Keefe and Ed. He will be greatly missed.
Also surviving are a brother, John W. Rippon Jr., Mayfield; his companion, Alaine Dwyer, Colliers Wood; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John and Marion Rippon; and maternal grandparents, Basil and Anna Mushala.
The funeral will be Monday with services at 10 a.m. from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, 511 Church St., Jessup. Interment, Jermyn Cemetery.
