Not sure what to say?

Bishop John D'Arcy was my Father confessor and mentor at St. John Seminary in Brighton (Boston) back in the late 60's. He was a wise and wonderful Priest of God and, more, a man of love who not just preached but lived a life of love and wisdom. After 50 years, I still miss him and his kind words and advice dearly. Father Jack, may you live forever in the arms of Our Lord. Amen.

Bishop D'Arcy was such a blessing to me and my family. He was my husband's immigration sponsor when he came to the United States from Ireland to teach theology. He was my friend as I worked as a theology teacher at Bishop Dwenger. He always stopped to talk with us and our daughters anytime he saw us. After his retirement, he would celebrate mass with our parish sometimes. Each time he would give us hugs and talk with us for a while about our lives. He always remembered our daughters...

It's sad to hear that he passed my grandpa was the same age. I know how it feels. I'm sorry about your loss.

Rest in peace. Thank you for always being at Notre Dame to celebrate the confirmation masses for members of the ND family.

Bishop D'Arcy was a people's bishop. A true shepherd to our flock. Thank you for blessing our diocese with your love!
