I believe this is my friend Kathy from 6th grade in Dorseyville, Pa. We had Mr. McDonald for our teacher back in the day when men didn't usually teach grade school.. And we thought he was terrific. There were 4 of us who hung out: Debbie Southwick, Debbie Tabor, and myself, Cyndi Bateman. I have great memories of that year and these dear friends. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I hope that all the cherished memories you have created through a lifetime together will sustain you through this separation until your family is reunited for eternity.

I hadn't seen "Miss Lyons" for many years but have thought of her through the years. She was my 7th grade English teacher 40 years ago. My friends and I loved her class. One of she things she taught us (and you could tell she loved it) was poetry. Because of her I started writing poetry and still like to write today. She will be remembered by many. God Bless your family! Karen Roberts Annapolis,Maryland

I have the fondest of memories of Kathy who was my high school friend and we entered together. I was able to have continued contact with her off and on in the years that followed. It was always fun to be with her and watch her delight in her girls and Jack. To say she will be missed is worse than an understatement! We should live life the way she did. Thanks Kathy!??

I was a 7th grade student of Kathy's in 1973. She is the kind of teacher who makes a life long impression on you, not just because of her educator skills, but because of the person she was. She taught us how to think creatively, how to appreciate a wide range of literature and how to have fun while learning in English class. She made great impact on so many of us ... and I am grateful to have known her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and I hope your wonderful memories of her bring comfort at this sad time and always.
