Sharon A. Pidich, 57, of North Scranton, died Thursday at home. She is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Pidich.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Robert N. and Lillian Chabin Theobald Sr. She was a graduate of West Scranton High School and, before her illness, she worked at the Steamtown National Historic Site bookstore. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, West Scranton, until its closing, and then attended St. Ann's Basilica, Scranton.
Her favorite pastime was taking pictures of the Nicholson Bridge and Starrucca Railroad Bridge. She loved photography, trains, airshows, antiques, fairs, traveling, animals and her family. She passed away peacefully.
A very special thank you to the VNA Nurses Association for all the care and help they gave us.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jennifer McAndrew Close and husband, Jason, Tennessee; a sister, Roberta Theobald DeSarro, Scranton; a brother, Robert N. Theobald Jr., Scranton; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Derek J. Theobald, Mayfield; Kristin DeSarro Zvolinsky, Mayfield; Nikkie DeSarro Resio, Old Forge; and Robert Howie, Scranton; grandnieces and grandnephews; and her very best friend, George Boniewicz, Olyphant.
A celebration of life will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nicholas Chomko Funeral Home, 1132 Prospect Ave., Scranton, with a blessing service at 7:45 by the Rev. Jason Soltysiak.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 712 S. Keyser Ave., Taylor, PA 18517.

Sharon you helped me through some hard times when i was just a teenager. I will never foget you. heaven got an angel back.I had such good memories of the southside pet store.You and Joe had a lot of influence on me and i thank you both.
