I knew Tony well largely through the Cathedral, The Royal British Legion and ABF The Soldiers' Charity in Lincolnshire all areas of County life that I had an executive role over a number of years.
Throughout this time Tony was hugely supportive to me personally and we became good friends.
I think of him - and lovely Jenny almost daily and was just so pleased, whilst not 100% myself, to get to his Service on 12 January earlier this year. He was a very special man and countless times I discussed with him - as a DL - the Honours system. For sure he should have been Sir Anthony Worth from the outset of his appointment as HM Lord- Lieutenant. I miss him beyond measure although no longer living in ~Lincolnshire.
