I am so sorry to hear about Diedre. My Mum, Ronny and my son Griffin, and sister Fran and I had had the most lovely dinner with her during our last visit to London. She was so warm and gracious.

I knew Diedre for about 10 yrs.having met her through my work as a decorator. We quickly became friends and shared many irrerverant and happy times together both working in her divine b&b and in the wonderful garden at Hemmingford Rd. evenings spent with a glass or two and endless washing!, She told me story after story of her childhood in Hampshire and we laughed like drains over roast dinners in the downstair kitchen or in front of her magnificent fire in the main sitting room.. and on their last visit hosted the most wonderful meal for my mother( who has also passed away) but knowing what a great friend Diedre was to me. I cant begin to say how much I will miss her but I knew the last years were getting more and more difficult and she needed peace and more time to herself so I didnt see much of her before she went into the hospice. I know she is in the arms of God and a much loved spirit ..I feel blessed to have known her. My heart goes out to her sister Avril, neices and nephews in Australia and her dear brother Robyn. I would like to come to the funeral if its appropriate but if not please accept my condolescences and many lovely memories.
