My Mother was a huge George Jones fan and I have very early memories of her singing along to his records.
She passed away on September 11,2011 at age 74.I bought his 50 years of hits compilation and it may sound crazy, but sometimes I can still hear her voice next to his.God bless Mama and George.

Who's gonna fill George's shoes?
June 28, 2013
I know this sounds ridiculous but I just found out Mister George Jones had died. I grew up listening to my Dad listening to George and when I reached adulthood I realised who that brilliant voice belonged to. I also wrote a song which features the line, "I got George Jones, for days I feel alone". You can feel many emotions listing to George but 'alone' or 'lonely' is not one of them. He fills the room with that VOICE. RIP Mr Jones. Dee Elizabeth, England
