He was and always will be the BEST

George Jones was the greatest country singer ever and will be truly missed. He was my Dad's favorite and a big influence on me as well. Maybe the two of them can pick one together now. So sorry for your loss. May his voice be forever heard.

My heart broke when I heard the news that the "Possum" had passed away. I grew up listening to George, Conway, Merle, Waylon, Johnny and ALL the greats from back in the day. George truly was and IS a legend. There will NEVER be another George Jones. My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and George's Children. Please know that he is now at peace and smiling warmly down on all of you. God Bless. Fran Rose - Alexanria, Kentucky

I am very sorry for your loss. I'm from Beaumont, TX and I have grown up listening to George Jones since I was a kid. I lost my grandfather when I was 10 yrs old and was always upset that my memories of him faded with time, but the one tangible memory I was always able to hold onto was George Jone's music. I'll never be able to listen to (A Taste of Yesterdays Wine) record without remembering my grandpa.
God Bless
