William "Bill" Walsh
Wilmington, NC
William "Bill" Walsh passed away on November 4th, 2013 at his home in Wilmington, North Carolina. Bill was born in Port Huron, Michigan in 1935 to Stephen and Marjory Walsh and raised by Cease and Dorothy Dingwell, his loving aunt and uncle. He has been reunited in death with his wife Alice and daughter Stephanie and is survived by his daughter Shelley and son Bill of Charlotte, NC, his grandsons Stacey and Kyle, his sisters Barbara, Betty Jo and Beverly, and his cousins Butch and Bobby, who were like brothers to him.
Bill received his degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, which lead to a career involving numerous deployments on nuclear submarines. Bill loved to travel the world, having been to every continent and crossing the equator multiple times. What he loved most, however, was organizing the Sunday mixer, playing golf, spending time with longtime friend and companion Carolyn Brown and socializing with the friends he made over his 20 years living at the Cape.
The family will be receiving people 2:00 - 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 South College Road, Wilmington.

Dear Shelley & Billy, So very sorry for your loss. Eric and I really enjoyed our visit with your Dad, we went to see him while we were vacationing at Myrtle, he had so many stories to share with Eric and me...your Dad would light up any room he walked into...I think of the times he would come home to Port Huron he would stop in and see the boys and they would get so excited. We would visit Palms Cyrstal for dinner with him. He will truly be missed, he was so loved! To a very special Aunt and Uncle rest in peace.
