We have great memories of Ivor spending a few days with us in Perth 2008 and especially the private tour of the submarine. Ivor took us through during the new years break when it wasn't open to the public. We had our very own tour, with all the details, reliving his time on the subs and the rail. What stories he recalled, what a great man, with all the time in the day to spend with us. Ivor we miss you, for you were like a father to us here too. Ivor, we will miss you always. Thank you for Paul being a real leader and a very big part of our family. Ua tagi le eleele. Alofa tele, manuia lou malaga, Tama. Jozef, Frankie, Leon ma Estelle

We have very happy memories of Ivor's visits to England. His stories and great sense of humour, particularly when teamed up with his brother Reg, will remain with us. He was truly a lovely man and we remember him fondly.

Our love to you all.

This is the prayer my father read to himself every morning:

The Cross in My Pocket

I carry a cross in my pocket
A simple reminder to me
Of the fact that I am A Christian
No matter where I may be.

This little cross in not magic
Nor is it a good luck charm
It isn't meant to protect me
From every physical harm.

It's not for identification
For all the world to see
It's simply an understanding
Between my saviour and me.

When I put my hand in my pocket
To bring out a coin or key
The cross is there to remind me
Off the price He paid for me.

It reminds me, too, to be thankful
For my blessings day by day
And to strive to serve Him better
In all that I do and say.

It's also a daily reminder
Of the peace and comfort I share
When all who know my Master
And give themselves to His care.

So I carry a cross in my pocket
Reminding no one but me
That Jesus Christ is Lord of my life
If only I'll let Him be.
