To Auntie Ita
Germaines stick together
But there was that day
When one had to go away
She did not cry
She did not fuss
Thats because she's still here with us
She could take no action
But pray she could
And that prayer could change
A life
A day

Ita Germaine-Mills - R.I.P. Our Dear Friend
We miss you dearly - you were the most amazing, fun-loving, kind, intelligent, generous, talented Lady we have had the pleasure to be friends with.
We are so much richer as we were lucky enough to be part of your life as close friends. Now there is a huge void which will not be filled. You were so brave fighting this horrible disease, now the battle is over and you are at peace with the Angels.
Our heartfelt sympathy to Billie, Caoimhe, Conor and your extended Family back in Ireland.
We are grieving a beautiful person, our love always;

To my dearest sister Ita
Its not always possible to understand why life works the way it does, but you were never one to sit back and let the world pass you by, its hard to believe that you were on a cruise with your friends less than eight weeks ago and worked your last nursing shift following that trip. You are an inspiration to us all and I hope to learn from your example. You handled your illness with strength and dignity and were unaware of the special place you held in all the lives you touched.I will miss all the laughs we had together, the trips home to Ireland, the clean up operation at home in Grangecon with you organising us all to paint the house, sheds etc and then setting the table on the front lawn with a lovely meal for us all to enjoy, the cooking and baking tips , the weekends away in the Talbot Hotel and the way you surprised us all with wine ,chocolate and strawberries out of your suitcase, the great books you recommended and the sound advice you gave me on my career and on raising my four children. Caoimhe and Conor were so lucky to have you as their mum and I see so much of them in you. Take care my Darling and know you will be forever in our thoughts

I am so sorry to hear of Ita's death. I trained with her in Our Lady's Hospital - she was a beautiful person and an outstanding nurse. Deepest sympathy to her husband and children. May she rest in peace.
