Juanita Farley was my aunt on my father's side of the family. Although I had not seen her in years at the time of her passing, my vivid memories of her, my uncle Bob, and my cousin Bobby will last forever. Aunt Juanita was a loving, cheerful woman who was loved by all of her many nieces and nephews. We all saw Aunt Juanita regularly throughout the early part of our lives, visiting her at the family house in Port Byron, New York when she and Bob would drive in from Columbus. That house was the site of many family reunions, picnics, and other events. Aunt Juanita was always at the center of cooking and preparing. She loved being surrounded by relatives and friends at Port Byron. When I became grown, I realized that Aunt Juanita and Bob had taken wonderful care of their son at a time when there was little guidance for raising a child with severe cognitive limitations. They loved Bobby with all their heart and I am sure they gave him the highest quality of life possible.
God bless Aunt Juanita and Bob Farley and Bobby. They were all wonderful people who were much-loved by many people in New York State and in Columbus. I will always miss her, as I miss her seven deceased siblings.
