Carroll Tom Jay Carroll, age 67, of Columbus, passed away on March 15, 2014. He was born in Columbus, OH on December 8, 1946 to the late Walter and Ruth (Hirschman) Carroll. He was a 1964 graduate of South High School and a 1969 graduate of Franklin University. Tom worked in the pharmaceutical field for many years with Wendt Bristol, Crosby Drugs, and most recently Kroger. He was a member of The Groveport United Methodist Church. Tom was a real people person and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Larry Carroll. Tom is survived by his loving spouse of 43 years, Barbara (Ott) Carroll; nephew, John (Amy) Carroll; nieces, Jody (Tim) Achatz and Julie (Mikal) Grossman; uncle, Carl (Hazel) Boggs; brothers-in-law, Donald Haughn and Bill (Lena) Ott; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Diamond, Linda Ott, and Eleanor (Bill) Thomas; special cousins, Don and Marilyn Niehaus; many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 19, 2014 9-11 a.m. at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E. State St., Columbus, OH., where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Pastor Jay Moyers officiating. Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
