What's up Butch! That's what I always said when we conversed. Butch it's still hard for all of us to believe that you are gone and never coming back. You slipped away from here. Now its impossible for us to bring Thanksgiving plates to you. Haha. The kids still talk about you especially Lina and Izzie. In the last 15 years that you we knew you, you truly touched our lives. You were truly heaven sent to my mom, brother, the kids, and myself. It seems we had known you forever. I don't remember you ever feeling like a stranger to us. We all clicked right away. We simply referred to you as "Butch" but you played so many roles in our family so effortlessly and we truly appreciated that. We all felt the amazing and unconditional love that you had for us. There are just too many special memories to count. Thanks for being there especially when we needed you the most. Thanks for the many times you were there to share in special moments, birthdays, holidays, quality time, babysitting the kids, etc. It really touched our family when you came down after the birth of Chris and even went with my mom to go shopping to buy things for the house. Izzie remembers a lot but something about you buying batteries for his new toy is what he talks about. Lol. Lina took this the hardest out of all of the kids and remembers you just being a very sweet man. We all talk about their last memory and time they saw you which is when you came out of the VA and surprised them with all of those candy bags. They LOVED that and it was just too cool. Another way of showing how much you valued us. We at least have pictures and video footage of you where we can see you, hear your voice, and to cherish forever. This is painful for mom especially since she was so used to hearing your voice everyday. I just remember when her phone would ring and I would think to myself, "There's Butch" and just watch her face light up. Now when it rings, we know its not you. :( She's heartbroken over the lost of her love of 15 years but she also is remaining strong for us and I just know and feel that you can see that and very proud of her. Butch it takes a special kind of man to take in our family like you did and then share so much love and respect like you did. It seems you touched a lot of other lives and that doesn't surprise me. Each and everyone of us has our own special times and memories to share and I'm speaking on ours and no one's can compare to the next, but we all share a common theme in that you uniquely touched all of our lives in some sense. Makes our familu feel very blessed that God sent you into our lives and there's no doubt that he did. And like you were there for us, we were there for you too and my mom takes great pride in knowing that she took good care of you through it all to the best of her ability. I know she will miss cooking for you. She loved to do that and visiting you in Columbus. I'm going to miss letting you know when I come to Columbus on business and knowing I could call you when I get lost. Lol. Butch we will never forget you. We will forever miss you being a important part of our family. Memories of you will be forever cherished in our hearts. We thank you. We LOVE you Butch. Until we meet again...
