I was so saddened by this news today. We had emailed around Christmas time and the family holiday card just seemed to exude contentment. Alex was a no-nonsense guy who kept his word and gave every task he took on his best effort--always with his own brand of humor. It's always hard to lose one of the 'good guys' and Alex was definitely in that group. Condolences and prayers go out to his loved ones.
