I first met Mr. Hart back in the mid 70's when he began teaching at Fieldbrook Elementary School with Ms. Coates. I was fortunate to be in his class for three years. I don't know if we as students knew how lucky we were to have an individual who cared for us as much as he did. Not only was he a great teacher in the classroom and on the court, he was always willing to give of his time to help us grow. Camping in Etna before there was a cabin, Duck hunting on Stone Lagoon or inviting me to attend an electronics course with him at Humboldt State were just a few of the memories I have. I hope we can all learn from his giving nature. Thanks Bruce.
Mr.Hart impacted so many lives. :) I had the pleasure of attending three 8th grade graduations at Fieldbrook School. Mr. Hart made them so special. Nathan also got the pleasure of having Mr. Hart as a teacher and was on the FBVFD with him for years. Wish I would have taken advantage of Bruce's offer on Dance lessons. :) What a lovely Celebration of Life it was last night. The parking lot was packed, Dancing and wonderful memories to be heard inside.
so glad we were able to be a part of.

Bruce was one of the best teachers, and i remember the camping and hiking trips like yesterday. Lots of good memories. He made going to school fun. And actually influenced me in many ways. A really good person he was.
We were in our 70's when we discovered Bruce's dance lessons. We will dance until we join him dancing with the angels before the Lord. God bless you Bruce, and give you His peace, Carrie. Bob & Marilyn Westberg
Rest In Peace Bruce. You were a great man and an awesome teacher. You made a positive impact on so many people's lives including mine. Thank you Bruce.
As a former student I can say that he is by far one of the best teachers I ever had, I was filled with Joy each time I ran into him throughout the years, It's amazing how he seemed to never forget who a student was. He once told our class "when you grow up do something you love, the money shouldn't matter, as long as you love what you're doing you will find happiness, if you don't love what your doing find something new."
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but he'll never be forgotten he'll live on through our memories and by all he taught.
With deepest sympathy to the family during your time of grief...God is for you a refuge and strength, A help that is there to be found during difficult times...May God provide you with peace and comfort to endure the days ahead.
Jeri and I were fortunate enough to take a dance class with Bruce and Carey this April -May. I felt like a million bucks as I twirled around Jacoby Creek gym and so happy and the watchful eyes of our patient kind teacher. He showed us how to make a "window" using our arms; little did I know he would be on the other side of the "window" but we can't wait to dance with you in eternity! Thank you so much Bruce for giving so much of yourself
A real friend for life, and beyond.
Bruce's passing is the community's loss and heaven's gain - there will be a lot of souls dancing in the light of his many passions and energy. Carey - may you feel Bruce's arms around you escorting you through this next chapter in your life...and may you embrace the huge network of family and friends who are reaching out to you. My condolences and best wishes to you.
In 1989 we took lessons from Bruce and it changed our lives. We will miss him and always remember him. Walter and Vivian Luper.
Carrie, words can never express how much we are going to miss Bruce. He was such a great teacher for all of the kids that were lucky enough to be in his class. I'll never forget our abalone diving camping trips nor our dance class that I'm sorry to say never worked for me. We still had fun. His legacy will live on forever.
Carey, Jim and I have no words. We love you and if you need anything. You and his family will be in our thoughts.
I am so sorry to hear of Bruce's death. I have joyful memories of Bruce's friendship while we were
students at Humboldt. Enjoyed spring desert fieldtrips, birding and camping in the Sierra with him. My sympathy to his wife and family. Linda Barker, New Mexico
