May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
My condolences to the Milliken family. I so respect your family for your progressive thinking and for your service to the State of Michigan. Thanking you, and hoping you find comfort in your memories at this time.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I had the privilege of working with Helen Milliken when I was working for the Michigan Foundation for the Arts. We had an annual event which honored artists, and each year, she was our keynote speaker. She was always gracious, inspiring and inclusive. I had one thing in common with her - we had each attended Smith College. She made me feel very special and supported my job and our arts awards. I was very sad to learn of her death and I hope both her husband and son have many opportunities to hear about how she touched so many lives.

I was so sorry to read about the death of such a great woman. It is obvious from her obituary that she touched the lives of many in a positive way and she will surely be missed. May the God of all comfort be with the family during this most difficult time.
I wish to pay respects and send condolences to her family. Hopefully it will eventually be a comfort to know she is reunited with her daughter.
So sorry for your family loss. I just read her obit, what a champion for us girls (I am 61), we must continue on inspiring our young ladies and remind them of the warriors.
To her beloved family, especially her wonderful husband, Gov. Bill Milliken. Plus, to all the Republicans of today..... Read more about the Millikens, who epitomized Republican grace, ethics and high values. I know that she will be at peace - a model of wonderful acts encompassing her beliefs. What a fabulous woman! Thank you, Helen, and thank you Governor, for choosing such a fantastic partner in marriage and in life.
I am sorry for the loss of your wife and mother. I feel your pain for I lost my mother to ovarian cancer also three years ago. Her death very unexpected and opposite of the prognosis we were given.
I will keep your family in my prayers.

May your soul rest in perfect peace & sympathy to your loved ones.
The Millikens are still a well respected and beloved family by all. My bff has cerebral palsy and wheel chair bound was aided years ago onto the ferry to Mackinaw Island by the Millikens. Govenor Milliken helped lift her aboard and Mrs. Milliken sat with her and our moms during the ride over. She speaks of that experience today. May The Govenor and family receive much peace, comfort and support now and into the future. Soon no one will be sick ever. Take care, Isaiah 33: 24.
Memories of time spent with Helen are deeply cherished. Helen was a devoted wife, a true and fun loving friend, and en exemplary woman. We extend our sincere condolences.
God created all mankind to be equal and that would include women evidently Mrs Milliken knew that one day our Creator will have all his servants appreciate that factMrs Millisiken rest in peace until that time
My condolences to the family of this great woman. She influenced me as I was growing up, made me proud to be a feminist in the 70's. I am thankful the world had such a great person.
My deepest sympathies go out to the Milliken family. God is with you.
Yes Mrs. Milliken did seem to be a very wonderful as well as influential woman who did not simply take a back seat to her husband's career. She allowed the power and position that she did have to help change things and make great movements for women and for people to protect what is beautiful and pure; and not taking our environmental for granted we still have some beauty to look upon. I hope young girls too look to her a one of the great role models out there for young girls and young women coming up to respect themselves and their rights as well as everyone to help out the environment at which they live. May the family of Mrs. Milliken find comfort in the memories and stories they have of her and the things she left behind for them to cherish. May we all one day be able to say in a paradise for all to enjoy "Sorrow has passed and our troubles are gone.. Peace at last! Life without tears or pain. Live for the day when you'll say, "Life without end, at last!
My condolence to all. When I was Pres of Michigan Bell she helped me on a number of occasions.
My condolences to the Milliken family. As the days goes by, I hope that the pain you feel will lessened by time and knowing that our Heavenly Father has promised that death will be no more. (Re.21:4). ~Gail. Alabama
I was lucky to see & hear Mrs. Milliken several times during the fight for the ERA. She so impressed me that I voted for her husband, almost the only time I have voted for a Republican. She was such an outstanding person that I knew her husband had to be also. Neither of them ever made me sorry for that decision. My heart goes out to the family on their loss. She was one of a kind, a true treasure.
My heart go"s out to this family, and thank you for a job well done R.I.P.

Thank you, Helen Milliken.
You dedicated so much of your life to what should be everyone's top priorities: the rights of women and environmental protection. May you now be in a world where it is no longer necessary to "fight" for what should be naturally understood.
