Alene and entire Stover family reading your moms obituary and others I find it so sad that there is so much you don't know about someone until you read about them in their obit your mom was always so sweet and soft spoken but what an amazing woman I'm so sorry I didn't make more of an attempt to get to know her and so sorry for your loss my thoughts are with you and I'm sending you love and strength. I would like to share that my father Brad Barnes spoke frequently of Helen Arnold, with whom he was very close when they were both at Arcata High School (graduating in 1939 together). They were sweet on each other. My brother Tom also remembers Daddy (who has been gone now for 42 years) speaking fondly of Helen. As a result I have always felt a connection with Helen Arnold Stover, and her leaving us takes away some of our history. What a wonderful, beautiful life she lived!

Helen Stover was a delightful, fun loving, talented Lady. My friend Cathi Carnes and I student taught with her and Marlan at Greenpoint School in the 70's. She was a wonderful , kind person and loved all of her students. She will be terribly missed.
