Dear Mrs Allbritton,
Rita and I send you and your family our deepest feelings of sympathy. We fondly remember the warm friendship you and your husband have extended to us during our posting in Washington as Ambassador of the European Union to the US. Our thoughts are with you in these difficult days, and might our ways cross again in future. Our daughter who is living with her family, including two lovely grandchildren, in Washington, working with the World Bank, joins us with this message.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Allbritton. For many years we have enjoyed driving by his old home place on Jupiter Road. We are sorry to lose a neighbor.
