My deepest condolences to your family. Although I didn't know Kevin, I was deeply touched by the loving tribute to him. We share the challenging honor of being family to a brave young man serving in Afghanistan. Our son-in-law, Michael Johnson, of Eureka, is Kevin's age and serving in Army infantry in Kandahar,Afghanistan. We deeply feel your loss. We honor Kevin's sacrifice for our country - and for yours, also. May his memory live long in the hearts of those who loved him and bring you comfort.

I was so very saddened today to learn of Kevin's passing. However my memories of him are ones of pride and fondness. I worked with Kevin on his Senior Recital here at UCSC, and I remember him as one of the more professional, focused, intelligent and mature students I have worked with. In my every encounter with him, he was always friendly, polite, welcoming, gracious, humble, and dedicated to what he was working on. You can be so proud of the man Kevin was, as I was also.
