Lois was wonderful Lady. Her and Bob would come over and do the promotions for Maui Petroleum each year. I hadn't heard her jokes lately and went on line to sadly find this news. God bless her family. A truly remarkable person! Aloha My Friend.

Lois was our next-door neighbor on Randolph Street in Eureka. She and Bob maintained their home in pristine condition, but we were always welcomed there, even though the carpet was white! Lois lent her beautiful voice to a rousing rendition of "God Bless America" to finalize our annual Randolph Street 4th of July block party. Lois was particularly proud of her "cast iron" stomach which she often bragged about. It's true, she could eat a generous portion of just about anything, but especially Dungeness crab. We've never met anyone able to eat more crab than Lois. Of course, it took a lot of good wine, too. Poor Bob! We remember distinctly the time he tried to keep up with her and ended up with a severe gout attack! There will never be another person to match Lois' energy and wit, but we're sure she was somewhere watching with great satisfaction as her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends delivered eloquent eulogies at her memorial service. We are glad we were able to be there!

Your mother always brought a smile to our faces when she came by to sell us Christmas cards. She was a real treasure to many of her friends and customers. I'll never forget her smile and laugh. May God bless her and you.
