It truely amazes me how many people the DURKEE family has touched over the years. You all are an icon. Your family unit is one to be envied. Mr Durkee was such a magnificent man. Gordon was a true gentlemen and had the biggest heart on earth. Speaking both for myself and for the Village of Marshfield, he had an outstanding sense of "doing the right thing" for the Village and for everyone in it. He is now and will always be missed.

I was so very sorry to hear about Gordon. My heart is heavy with sorrow. I have so many wonderful memories though, of the stories about my mom and dad tooling around with you Connie, and Gordon. Gordon was a special friend to my father but the memories and the stories to be passed on will be cherished forever; from their ice fishing escapades to cribbage nights and their Masonic meeting nights!
