Johnny and Irene, I am so sorry for the loss of your Colleen and offer my sincere condolences. I have fond memories of our visits many years ago. My heart goes out to you and your family.
Dear John, Irene and family,
We wish to express our sympathy to you at this sad time. The good times and memories will give you strength over these difficult days.
Take care.........Larry and Vera Conn
Colleen, you were always a special part of our family, first as a sister-in-law and then as Griffin's Mom. Though we lost touch over the years, you were often in our thoughts and always in our hearts.
Be at peace.
Love Diane and Bill Huson
Now this is going back just a few years, to the late 70's actually, at Ballenas High School. Dean and I (aka Cathy Payne) remember Colleen as a kind and gentle soul. She appeared "wise beyond her years". We are not surprised that she chose to be a teacher as her career. We have not seen Colleen for many, many years. Our thoughts are with Colleen's family at this time.
Ms. World was my grade 5 teacher at Uplands Park, one of the nicest & encouraging teachers I'd had. She was great with her students, and I'm sure will be greatly missed by all that knew her
Colleen...your gentle soul brought a comforting peace to my world. Your beautiful smile and laughter brought joy to all those fortunate enough to share in your journey. Your strength and determination were inspiring and now there is comfort in knowing you are free from your struggles. Deepest sympathy to Griffin, Mr. and Mrs. World and family....your presence, care and love were the greatest gifts you could have given Colleen.
Colleen taught my daughter in Grade 7 and was very loving and supportive towards me as I went through my own trials with breast cancer. She will be missed.
I will alwlays remember your wonderful smile when I started my first teaching practicum at Uplands Park in 1991 and you were there to welcome me. A special teacher to all. Lesley Domino
We miss you and know that you will be with us in your special way, Colleen. Love to Griffin and your family... we are just a call away at any time. Sharyn, Lauryn and Robbie
Colleen ... you were much, much more than just a friend. Whether we were sharing meals with our families, going for walks on the water front, watching our boys grow up like "brudders", or in later years, simply being two friends catching up over a Costco hotdog, I speak from a place deep in my soul when I say I am a better person for time spent with you. You will forever remain safely nestled on a branch of my family tree where you just seemed to fit from the first time I met you. We are here for your beautiful boy who carries your light with genuine, unwavering, unimposing positivity ... just like you did. You will be missed, but NEVER forgotten.
Will always remember that ever-ready smile, infectious laugh and gentle spirit...say hi to my mom Colleenio - I bet the two of you are having a great chin-wag....
Colleen was one of those people you never forget especially as a teacher. She was so understanding, kind and willing to help my daughter with any struggle she had. Her laugh, smiles and great sense of humour will not be forgotten. Our sympathy to the family.
The Livelys (Lee, Cheryl, Brandon and Ashtyn)
Colleen was a such a brave woman, always smiling and laughing - I enjoyed working with her at Randerson for the brief time that I did. My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family.
