I changed the station on the radio the other day and who should be on but "The Barenaked Ladies" singing (you guessed it) 'Jane'!!
I miss my little sister, I was 10 1/2 when she was born on a dark and stormy afternoon June 10th 1963...Although she was younger than me, she had a lot of good intuition and knowledge, which she freely gave out...And you know even if she was a bit harsh, it was meant in a good way, from the heart! She had a beautiful, wry, witty sense of fun...Very feisty, right from the get-go! We will all miss her and hope she's having a ball up in heaven! I know she's now no longer in pain, and singing with the rest of the heavenly angels (she was an angel on earth too!) Love you my Janey-bug! Protago-Girl to the very end! Your big sister, Elizabeth xoxoxo (Lizardbits)
P.S. If Ken hadn't passed the "Jane test" I wouldn't have married him 31 years ago, and Jane was one of my bridesmaids...
Energy like light never ceases to exist merely changes form. Bless Jane in
her journey and calm in the thought that she is free to now be a part of all things.
Our thoughts are with you Barb,
Keith and Debbie
Professor Zhu Kun asked me to post this letter to my beloved daughter Jane, as his attempt to post it directly from China appears to have been blocked. He has been a loyal friend of Jane and her family for many years. Catherine Foster
I clearly remember the first time when I met you in Guelph, Ont. when I was studying at the University of Guelph, 27 years ago. Ever since then, we have been close friends. Thank you so much for the thoughtful way in which you helped me to have a memorable and marvelous stay in Canada. Your kindness, ability, intelligence, wide range of thoughts and outstanding personality made a lasting impression and influenced me profoundly. Over 3 decades, our friendship grew to include all the members of our two big families.
Now you are living in Heaven. You will live at peace in God's presence. You can continue teaching, reading, swimming, singing songs as you always used to do.
Dear Jane, I will see you again in another world later on. We will always remain very good friends.

I'll always remember the first time Jane came to my house to give me a ride to Chorus, 20 years ago. She said "can you make me a sandwich?" We've been friends ever since. I loved her spunk, her boldness, the twinkle in her eye...the list goes on. I'll never forget you Jane. xo Mac
Jane - when you get to your next stop be sure you share that amazing smile. Thanks for all the great days you shared yourself with our little four-legged girls. You will be missed. Warmest thoughts for you Barb and your family.

You have touched our hearts!
How I know Jane is in Heaven:
1. Thundering laughter
2. The rain tastes vaguely of wine
3. The clouds keep forming the letters OMG
4. The rainbows are just ever so much brighter
5. The angels are now singing in 4 part harmony
6. There is a new FAB 3 John, George and Jane-o (she passed the audition-surely her quick wit helped seal it)
Dear sister you are in good company and we know you're going to live forever- in our hearts and in our thoughts. Your amazing strength and will have taught us so much. Journey on to new lands in peace.
Love your sister Carrie

Dear Jane, your kindness, elegance, intelligence, courage and wit are unique and an example to others young and old. You have touched us in many ways. You have made us laugh so many times. A kind laugh. A healing laugh. A "wicked" laugh. A musical laugh.

never will be forgotten, Protogirl. Love you forever.
Jane with perfect pitch was the best riser buddy. She also helped me with scoopage which was a pet peeve of hers. When we sang "If I give my heart to You" she told me to sing, " If I give my heart to Hugh" to avoid scooping on you.I will always hold you ( Hugh) in my heart.
Jane brought much joy, laughter and talent to our chorus. She will be greatly and fondly missed.

Nobody will ever fight for a child's rights like you did...no one will ever be more dedicated to, not only your own family but also to the children who needed you throughout the years. You are indeed an Angel that was lent to us here on earth for too short of a time! You have been given the ultimate promotion and now sing and nurture in the highest of homes. Though my heart hurts (as does all those who know you), there is solace in knowing you are no longer in pain. I love you Jane and appreciate that I had the honor of being the tiny part of your life that I was able to be. FLY HIGH SUPER GIRL, YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!
Irreverant and wildly funny obit as was 'our' Jane. How glad I am to have met her. Who will ever forget her hilarious usually raucous annual bedtime story, sending her adoring fans to bed with laughter in their hearts? Not me. Garda Rowe
