Pete , sorry to hear the news. Steve

My condolences are extended to Pete's family. I worked with Pete when he was a feature writer in the newsroom of the Victoria Daily Times, in the 1960s. He was always cheerful and friendly.

I was so sad to read Pete's obituary. I worked at The Victoria Daily Times in the 1950s and had the pleasure of knowing Pete.
Reading his obituary brought to mind a host of people who all worked there at that time: Pete Solloway, Dave Stock, Lloyd on the desk, Ab Kent, Dinah Kerr, Kitty Dixon, Elsie Edwards, Bess Forbes, Audrey St. Denis Johnson, G.E.M Mortimer, Aileen Campbell, Peter Bruton, Denny Boyd, Doug Peden, Tommy Cuff in the CN booth - to name a few, and our top brass Bruce Hutchinson and Stu Keate. They were wonderful days. I'll never forget the yearly show we all put on - how could one forget the band, "The Riders of the Purple Bedspread"! I started at The Times as a cub reporter, then wrote for The Colonist, then for The Province in Vancouver. So many of the newspaper people I knew are gone - it's sad to lose Pete, too.
I send my condolences to Pete's family.

I never had the privilege of meeting Mr. Loudon, but I acquired a copy of the Anyox book many years ago, and still treasure it.

I love writing, and occasionally get something published......and wanted you to know that Mr. Loudon's light-hearted and entertaining manner in his work remains a goal I strive to reach in my own efforts.

My thoughts are with you.
