I knew Mindy from high school and remember how much fun we had skiing in Banff. We lost touch but I will never forget her joy of living. Condolences to her family, Maureen Hossack

You were a wonderful roommate. We shared some good times at the Kitsilano house and had a lot of laughs.

I only knew Virginia a short time - she was immensely helpful to the Alzheimer Society of Canada as we hosted the 2011 Alzheimer's Disease International Conference in Toronto, and we benefited greatly from her beautiful writing. My heartfelt condolences to Virginia's family.

The first time I met Mindy was early one morning in the kitchen of my house on W 14th ave in Vancouver. She had returned from a party with my roommate and crashed on our couch. What I remember about her most was her laugh,so big and joyful, and her childlike sense of adventure. We lost touch for a few years, and briefly reconnected for dinner in Victoria in the mid 90s,then we both went on different paths again.A true one of a kind, and a great soul.A loss to all who knew her
