I do not know how I only now became aware of your departure. You were one of the few in this world who saw things from a different perspective...your own perspective. I will always be very thankful to have known you. I miss you
Rest in peace Shipmate, and thanks for your outstanding service to our great nation! Fair winds and following seas. God Bless you and your family!
Liam, you wrote, "Even now, in this crap economy on a cold rainy day I live a life the Sun King Louis the XIV couldn't even dream of. So I'm spending 2013 not complaining, I think....Somehow I ended up happy, in spite of myself."
I meant to respond to that missive. We always think we have more time than we do. I'm glad you had happiness at the end, even if it wasn't as long as we all wanted for you. I'm going to miss those meditations and non sequiturs you shared liberally with us. Go in peace, Monkey King.
Liam, I was glad you became "family". I regret that there weren't more times spent together. That is my loss. You are missed my friend.
May God conntinue to Bless his wife and Family.
I feel honored to have met Liam briefly in our church office in St.Florian. I was impressed then and enjoyed the conversation and learning more about him and now, after reading the Guest Book, I believe I did not realize how special this man was. I wish I could have known him more. My prayers are for him and his family.
?? ????????,??? ?????? ????. I'll always remember the fun times we had at DLI and Misawa. The world will not be the same without you.
Thanks for so much, my world is a better and stranger place for having known you.
A funnier, wittier, more intelligent person there may never be. Rare is the talent that can make another person think so profoundly, yet laugh so heartily. Liam most certainly had that gift. You are sorely missed, moy droog. If I make it up there, look for the guy wearing your Zippy the Pinhead shirt I “borrowed” from you back in Misawa all those years ago. I still have it and will cherish it even more now. I'll return it to you then. Until then, na svyazi.
There are no words to express the profound loss of our dear friend and mentor, Liam. All of the kind words here merely touch the surface of the man, self proclaimed Toast King. I will cherish the memories of time spent with Liam. God Speed. Fair winds and following seas, my dear. God Bless the family...Miss you already, my friend. Rest in peace. So sad.
I think of Liam as a happy philosophic traveling soul, who moved with a purpose to see, know, understand, value and love as much as possible, all he encountered in a too short but well lived life. I believe Liam is at peace in heaven now, with much to marvel and ponder on.
To Liam's family, I pray your grief will ease with the truth that souls are eternal and you will meet again.
Liam, my friend and Monkey King, you will be missed, but I will see you again! Love ya!
Liam, The Monkey King,May you rest in peace,I miss the laughter and glee that you and linda had for each other. You were truly soul mates. God Speed!
Still can't believe it. I haven't been so sad in a long time. Farewell brother.
Thanks for keeping us all on an even keel; you are already missed. It's been an honor. Fair winds and following seas, shipmate!
I always have to smile when I remember some of the times we all shared in Misawa. You will be missed.
There is no flame brighter than the one you lived. Thank you, Liam, for inspiring me.
It was an honour to have known you mate & an even bigger one to have served with you. Your sorely missed but I'm sure your on the other side smiling at us all. Semper Fi, Mac.
You will be missed. Rest in peace.
It was truly an honor to know Liam. He will truly be missed but I know heaven has gained an angel.
Semper Fi my friend, you are so missed...
too soon. God's Speed, Monkey King. Semper Fi.
Godspeed Liam. You were an incredibly funny, talented and intelligent man who always saw the rules as mere suggestions. You will be missed.
Liam, I still can't believe you are gone! I am so blessed and honored to have been a part of your life and tocall you friend. I'm going to.miss our conversations and your humor and wit. It's hard to get used to the fact that I can't reach out to you for advice :( RIP dear friend, until we meet again I will rest easier knowing you are watching over us now!
You were a wonderful friend and father figure through a dark night of the soul. I loved you deeply even as time moved us on to a different part of the journey. You will always be in my prayers and missed greatly.
He lived in awe of the world and the world in awe of him. RIP.
Go with God, Monkey King. You will be missed. May God bless you Linda. You are stronger than anyone I have ever met.
Known only through the ether and as the husband and best friend of my dear Linda, Liam was everything written here and more. Some are meant to be described by prose and platitudes, for others there are no words to describe them, Liam was one such person. Goodbye Monkey King.
"It was a dark and stormy night...and I alone am escaped to tell thee." I will so, so miss being told. My deepest love and sympathy for all. <3
Fair winds and following seas my brother. You will be missed.
The streets are guarded by United States Marines. I hope you enjoy your next tour of duty. You will be missed here!
So sorry may he be our angle
When St Peter asks about me, tell him what we'd recently discussed.
This worlds loss is the next worlds gain. You will be missed, Liam. You will be missed.
Some of us aspire to be able to see the so-called "big picture". Liam lived the big picture--wisdom, wit and love. RIP, my friend, the world is a much more colorful place because you were in it.
