Brenda was my cousin. We grew up close enough to each other to visit and play together. I remember playing kickball in the street at my house with my three siblings and Brenda and some neighborhood friends. I remember being together for holidays and when my parents visited. we always had fun together and I never remember an argument with my cousin Brenda. we were all able to re-connect within the last few years. I am grateful to have my memories and pray that Brenda will rest in peace. so very sorry for her siblings and her son. May God comfort you. Bridget

The Twilight Years

As I approach my twilight years, I am struck by the inevitability that the party must end. And one clear, cold morning after I 'm gone, my loved ones will awaken and be struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "any more." No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute."

Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, or say "I love you."

So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick.

This is true for marriage. and old cars, children with bad report cards, dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.

Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a son-in-law after divorce. There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.

Life is important, like people we know who are special. And so, we keep them close.

Suppose one morning you don't wake up? Do all your friends know how you really feel? The important thing is to let every one of your friends know your true feelings, even if you think they don't love you back. So now you know: I love you no matter what and I hope you always believe that.

Forever and always,
Me

My deepest condolences on the loss of Brenda.
Some of us are lucky to have an older sister in our lives, as I do. Your words speak volumes regarding the magic a sister can bring to our lives. Simple and pure joy! The fun, laughter, tears, and comaraderie are priceless. I hope the memories will bring you comfort, and I know she will always be there for you...now ever stronger in spirit.
May she rest in peace.

My big sister....who I started calling "Sissy"cause I couldn't say Brenda, is sorely missed! Thank you for all the times you got in trouble for something I did...sparing me from Mom's punishment....you...well u got my punishment! You taught me that how big sisters protect their annoying, daredevil ish escapeds of their younger siblings! You were always one of my greatest defenders and I always knew you had my back! I am so sad in this world without you!! My comfort is in knowing you are in a miraculous place with Mom, Dad, Keith, etc! Please watch over us...so we don't mess up too bad! I love you!
