Alice,
After reading Fred's obituary I really wish that I would have spent more time chatting with the men at the Christmas party so I could have experienced Fred's wonderful sense of humor. I know you will miss him greatly and hope that your memories will bring you comfort and in time even a giggle or two. You're in our thoughts.

to Fred Clark's family:
I received a phone call from my friends in Midlothian relating your father's obituary. I am an avid reader of obits and frequently cut and send them to my family. I am currently in NJ to celebrate my father's 75th birthday and got a phone call from one of my fellow obit readers. They told me I had to read this one! I had to find a computer and go on line to see it. Well worth the effort. It is beyond a doubt the greatest obit and tribute to your father. I think he would have been a lot of fun to know. God bless you all.

Best obit I have ever read!!!!! I read the Richmond Times Dispatch on line everyday, since I am originally from Glen Allen. I did not know Fred at all, until I read his obit, now I know his spirit and what a colorful person he must have been!!! A bottle of VA wine is chilling for consumption later this evening in his honor.
