We both knew Larry when he was in the Ceremonial Guard in Washington DC in the 70's. We just found out he had passed through the Ceremonial Guard Facebook page. A picture was posted with Larry, Mike, Regie Clark and Dave Bradshaw at one of the ceremonies. If you have a facebook page I could send it to you. Mike really enjoyed serving with Larry. They were good friends and I believe we even had him over for dinner one night. You have our sympathy and condolences in his loss.

Dear Mr. Timbrook,
My name is Trey, and I am so sorry to never of had the opportunity to meet you, I do want you to know that I know you were a person I would of love to have met and know, one day I will sir. There is one particular person I do know and her name is Sara Jane..she is the love of my life and I want you to know I will always be there for her and always take care of her to the best of my abilities. You would be so proud of the woman and mother she has become. Your work ethic and your ability to get along with anyone has truly been passed down to her. I want to thank you so much for bringing her into this world to now be part of my life. You will always be part of my life even though we never physically met but I will miss you dearly my friend and look forward to meeting you one day in that Great Farm in the Sky.

To my Daddy...it's almost been five years since you passed. I miss you everyday! Sometimes I think about picking the phone, and then I realize you are not with us anymore.
I was extremely sick when you left (as you know).I just want you to know that today I hope I am someone you can be proud of. Daddy, oh how I wish you could have been here when I turned my life around! You always loved me NO MATTER what, and you deserved to see me get better...I know you are watching all of us though. I can feel it!
I want you to know I know how blessed I am to have parents like you and mom. You will always be a part of me and I will never stop missing you! I love you with all my heart!

I feel so incredibly grateful to have known Larry Timbrook. I am saddened by this but I know his passing was in God's hands. I feel comfort in knowing that I have Larry keeping an eye on me forever and that we will one day meet again. Wondering what the first joke you told when you walked in to Heaven was... Thank you for giving me one of the greatest gifts I have ever received, my friendship with Sara Jane.

Larry was a positive influence and a friend to many. He had an uncanny knack for finding common ground with nearly anyone, and loved his family especially. He always seemed more concerned with caring for others than himself. We'll miss you Larry

I so enjoyed my phone calls with Larry. There was no such thing as "a quick call". He always left me feeling uplifted, even when he was carrying a burden himself. I pray for the Timbrooks for peace and great memories.

Larry was a wonderful person and always had a kind word for everyone he met. We had great conversations at Carter Machinery about his love of his church, his family and about life in general. I am saddened about his passing on earth but rejoice in his homecoming with his eternal Father. May God grant you and your family peace and Grace in the coming days ahead and know that there are many people who share in your sorrow.

Larry was a blessing to all who knew him. Quick to smile, he was always willing to lend a hand, lend an ear or tell a story. He loved God, his country, family, friends and fellow man. He will be sadly missed by all, but his presence will remain in the simple everyday pleasures of life.
