Rest in Peace, dear Joe. I was stunned and so very sad to learn of your death. I'm not sure what prompted me today to look thru our Merrimack College yearbook but when I saw your photo and handsome face staring back at me, I wanted to check online for your current whereabouts. I found what was unbelievable to me…your OBITUARY. You were always so full of life and laughter; I cannot believe you're gone. I will always remember your big heart, generous spirit, and strong, always strong value of family and friends. You were the real deal…kind, caring, genuine, a decent, honorable guy. As my grandmother would say, you were good, like “buono come il pane”. Holding you in loving memory, and sending deepest sympathy and prayers of strength to your family. Love, Cathy

I knew Joe through senior ice hockey since I moved west from MA in 1990. I was just doing my yearly Snoopy Senior Tournament calls when I heard the news of Joe's passing. Great guy, strong values a lot of fun and willing to stand up for what he believed in. my favorite memory is calling him late one night on my first visit to Philadelphia around 2006. I was looking for the best Italian restaurant to get a cup of coffee and a cannoli. I was not let down!

Joe, we will be thinking of you and salute you at this year's tournament.
