I worked with Toni at the Times Herald many years ago. She was such a smart lady and she taught me alot. I am sorry to hear of her passing.
Dear Sheila and Steve --
I will always remember your mom's for her sunny, gracious and loving disposition. She always had a smile and was so encouraging. We are blessed to have known her. She and my dad had a special bond too. You were a great daughter and son-in-law to her and she loved you both dearly. Hope you can find comfort in your memories. God surely has a special angel in heaven!

I got to know and love Toni while I did her hair for several years. Definitely one of my all time favorite clients EVER!! I have always treasured memories of our funny visits. A great lady!! RIP Toni!
Toni was a wonderful, joyous lady. Love you T-I-L from V-I-L.
My heartfelt sympathy to you, Sheila.
To Sheila and Steve, What a shock!!!
As you and all readers must know, I am a first cousin, the only remaining male cousin she has left. We grew up together in Lancaster, Ky and she was one year older all the way through school in the same building. She was very popular and beautiful, full of life and the hit of every get together.
We visited very little after 1940 but I did visit her in Vallejo two or three times and she visited Lexington, my home some 20 years ago. Things I remember: Every Sunday or very many times we attended our Granny Cox on sunday where she propared a wonderful lunch for all who would come. Uncle George and Aunt Lillian were alwasy there and all the others. Uncle Billy, Aunt Minerva and 4 girls Frances, Rugh, Ann and billie Jean. My brother and I were the only boys along with the 5 girls, all first cousins. Heloise was the oldest and we looked up to her. She was the best and I always will remember her smile and happy disposition. She will be missed by all of the lives she touched. God rest her sole. Walter C. Cox, Jr, Attorney, Lexington, Ky
Our Dearest Sheila and Steve,
As anyone who was fortunate to know Toni can agree, our beloved Toni was a very beautiful lady inside and out and very loving. She brought a lot of joy to us all. I'll always cherish the past memories of our times together throughout the years and even more our last moments together Thanksgiving 2012.
Thank you for sharing her so freely with us and others. Toni has definitely left her footprints in our minds and hearts. We love and miss her so much.
We are thankful for the times we had with Toni and are praying for you all as we all grieve Toni's passing. As time passes, may the wonderful memories of cherished moments with Toni bring us joy and replace the sadness in our hearts.
Much Love and Sympathy,
You touched our lives more then you will ever know.
All I can picture right now is the first time I brought Sarah in to see you at Gibson right after she was born and all the countless times Sarah and Lauren were at your desk through the years playing on your typewriter.
I remember you smiling everyday as I went through the daily routine of coaxing them away from you because they never wanted to leave you.
I'm so glad we were able to see you one last time a couple of weeks ago. We will miss you Toni and you will always have a place on our hearts.
