Thank you Mr. Sombrotto for all you did for us the letter carrier from your Branch 36 The Bronx
He was the greatest union leader the letter carrier ever had. He will surely be missed. He could have achieved any goal he set his mind to and what a great mind he had. He never forgot his roots and he loved his fellow man and his fellow man loved him. May God welcome him and bless his and comfort his family.
Thanks Vincent for all you did for the NALC. We will be forever indebted.
Brother Sombrotto was an insperation to us all. He was a true leader and built the NALC into one of the greatest labor unions in the country. From all the letter carriers from the former Branch 355 in Niagara Falls our thoughts and prayers are with his family. God rest your soul Vinny
I often sat across the bargaining table from Vince in the 70's and 80's. He represented his members well.
May God bless your family and give them peace . HLA BR. 496

I remember Vinnie Sombrotto well after working as the media liaison for the Committee of NALC Presidents that he founded and on other projects. He was an inspirational labor leader for sure. My prayers go to his family and the many who worked with and befriended Vinnie.
I first learned about Brother Sombrotto at my very first Convention in Boston, and I was moved to tears, the definition of fight was taken to another level. If not for him and his will to know that we as letter carriers were not paid enough...to strike...allow me to be able to work with a livable wage...to be able to take care of my family without the help of food stamps brings out such an honor...Brother Sombrotto will truely be missed...Letter Carriers cheer is in order....Washington, DC Branch 142....thanks again for all of your hard work...
My prayers are with your family...
