I just heard about Mr.Rudat's passing. It saddens me. There are teachers you never forget. He was one of those. I remember dissecting frogs! He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a kind genuine person. His class was so enjoyable. I became a teacher and had the privilege to work with him at Elk Lake. I never did call him by his first name. He was always Mr.Rudat. I hope all these entries will show his family how much his students thought of him. Thank you Mr.Rudat.
My sympathy to the family.

My condolences to the family. He truly was a gifted teacher who had a heart to not only teach but encourage his students to succeed.

Wow, this is bittersweet. The loss of such a terrific soul but so many wonderful tributes to such a great person. I wish he could see how much we all thought of him. Dissecting worms ...how much more fun could it get! He made school fun and you always looked forward to his class. He was smart and funny and he treated us like people and not like he was above us. God bless his family and as Sandy said "thanks for sharing him with us"

Mr Rudat was a patient, gentle man that we all loved. I had him teach me in the early 70's. We had a fun time with him. I'm sorry he doesn't get to read how much he was loved at Elk Lake.

I know you won't know who I am, but I just needed to say .... Mr. Rudat was a remarkably good teacher and one I will always remember in only a positive manner. A part of my past is now missing. Please know that he is in God's loving arms and feels no more pain or sickness. Thank you for sharing him with the students at Elk Lake.
